1- Memorizing Quran increases ranks in Jannah

 “Read, Ascend and Recite” On the day of judgment, all human beings will regret every moment of sin. And would wish to come back again in “Dunya” so they can do more worships and spend each moment earning rewards for the world that is everlasting- the Akhira, some will strive for a single good deed to enter paradise, whereas some would look at the people of paradise having a higher level than them with regretful eyes.

At the same time, the Quran-e-Hafiz will be asked to recite and rise up the level of Jannah. Whoever saves the highest part of the Quran in the heart would reach the highest level of paradise. Quran memorization has multiple rewards but the reward of achieving Jannat-ul-firdaws (the highest level of Jannah) is the benefit that every Muslim would admire.

Prophet (PBUH) said:

“It shall be said – meaning to the one who memorized the Qur’an – ‘Recite, and rise up, recite (melodiously) as you would recite in the world. For indeed your rank shall be at the last Ayah you recited.”

2- Highest Ranks and Reward for Parents

Parents have the right to be amazed and amazed by this great bounty that they received from where they do not expect, when these two parents get the highest ranks and rewards that are more precious and more valuable than the world and what is in it, they ask in astonishment: Where do we get such and we do not have – as far as we know – What kind of work and obedience qualifies us to win this great dignity? They answer: By teaching your son the Qur’an, being patient with it, and sincerely advising him. Thus, the owner of the Qur’an is one of the most dutiful of people towards his parents.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said,

“Whoever recites the Quran and learns it and then acts upon it is adorned with a crown of light on the Day of Judgement, its radiance is like the radiance of the sun. His parents are adorned with two jewels that the world could never contain, so they say ‘Why have we been adorned as such?’ It will be said, ‘For what your child has acquired of Quran.”

Quran memorization is the best gift parents can give to their children. It is the best present children can give to their parents. The parents of Hafiz will be given a special honor on the day of judgment. Quran memorization honors the parents. A Quran hafiz child is a Sadaqah Jariyah (Permanent Charity) for his parents. He is a source of Shafaa’h (Intercession) for his family.

3- Memorizing Quran is a source of honor

Who doesn’t wish for ultimate honor in the world and hereafter?

Prophet (PBUH) said:

“Glorifying Allah involves showing honor to a gray-haired Muslim and to one who can expound the Qur’an, but not to one who acts extravagantly it, or turns away from it, and showing honor to a just ruler”.

Prophet (PBUH) said:

“The one who memorized the Qur’an shall come on the Day of Judgment and (the reward for reciting the Qur’an) says: ‘O Lord! Decorate him.” So he is donned with a crown of nobility. Then it says: ‘O Lord! Give him more!’ So he is donned with a suit of nobility. Then it says: “O Lord! Be pleased with him.’ So He is pleased with him and says: “Recite and rise, and be increased in reward with every Ayah.”

4- Quran memorization protects from hellfire

Quran memorization will protect you from hellfire. It keeps you connected with Allah and the Quran throughout your life. It protects from evil acts and Shaitan.

The Quran is an accurate guide. It supports and protects the one who memorizes it and gives it due respect.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) says,

“Read the Qur’an, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection.”

5- Hifz Quran improves mind, body, and soul

Quran memorization improves mind, body, and soul health. The Quran gives peace to the depressed soul, and health to the body and mind. It has been observed that Quran memorization improves focus and learning power. It increases the overall capabilities.

“O mankind! there hath come to you a direction from your Lord and a healing for the (diseases) in your hearts,- and for those who believe, a guidance and a Mercy”. (Quran 10:57)

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

“Indeed, the one who does not have the Qur’an inside him (his heart), is like the ruined house.”

6- Ascending In Ranks In Jannah

We all want to get higher ranks, especially on the Day of Judgment. And that day, the light of the Quran will take the reciters “Qari’” out of the dark and bring them towards the illumination, to ultimately exalting their ranks.

Prophet (PBUH) said:

The one who was devoted to the Quran will be told [on the Day of Resurrection] ‘Recite [the Quran] and ascend [in ranks] as you used to recite when you were in the world. Your rank will be the last verse you recite.”

7- One of the Best People in the sight of Allah

Nowadays, being the best means being the best in terms of worldly gains. But the believer knows that the best is the one who is true in faith. Our beloved Prophet (PBUH) has guided us towards the best by saying:

“The best of you is the one who learns Quran and teaches it.”

8- Memorizing Quran Guarantees the Highest Ranks

The Quran is the only book that gives you the secret for success in life as well as hereafter. The beauty of this gain is that it never fades and perishes. Allah has said in Surah Faatir: verses 29-30:

“Indeed, those who recite the Book of God, and who duly establish the Prayer, and who spend charitably from what We have provided them, secretly and openly they have hope in a blessed transaction that shall never come to ruin that He may give them their rewards in full and increase them evermore from His bounty. Indeed, He is all-forgiving, ever-thankful.”

Memorizing Quran makes you worthy of the shade of the throne of Allah. The heat and adversity of the Day of Judgment is not hidden to anyone. It will be the time when people will be bare-footed under the adverse heat of the sun and will drown in their own sweat. But some will be granted the shade of the throne of the Almighty.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) says:

“Seven will be given the shade to on the Day when there’ll be no shade except His’- and he mentioned from amongst them, “a youth who grew up in the worship of Allah.”

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“The one who memorized the Quran shall come on the Day of Judgment and says: ‘O Lord! Decorate him.’ So he is donned with a crown of nobility. Then it says: ‘O Lord! Be pleased with him.’ So He is pleased with him and says: “Recite and rise up, and be increased in reward with every Ayah.”

9- Memorizing Quran help lead a purposeful life

Every moment of our lives spent will be held accountable on the Day of Judgment. By memorizing the Quran, we are not only investing our time in the right way but also taking advantage of it by raising the meter of our good deeds.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) says:

“Take benefit of five before five: your youth before your old age, your wealth before your sickness, your wealth before your poverty, your free-time before your pre-occupation, and your life before your death.”

10- Attaining the company of Noble Angels

The Messenger of Allah said:

“Allah has angels who roam the roads looking for those who mention Allah. When they find some people who mention Allah, they call each other, saying, ‘Come to the object of your pursuit.’ “He [Prophet] added, ‘Then the angels encircle them with their wings up to the sky of the world…’” [Al-Bukhari]

“The house in which the Quran is recited is attended by the angels, and the devils go out of it. It [the house] becomes spacious for those living in it, and its goodness becomes abundant, whereas the house in which the Quran is not recited, it is attended by the devils, and the angels go out of it. It becomes narrow for those living in it and its goodness becomes little.”
