1- Great ranks, rewards, benefits and virtues

Reciting the Qur’an daily has a great reward for those who read it. Even the recitation of one letter of the Qur’an carries a great reward. yes! You read it correctly, not a single surah, not a single verse, not a single word, will give you the reward for reciting each letter of the Qur’an.

The Prophet (PBUH) said,

“Whoever recites the entire chapter, (Surah Al Ikhlas) Qul Hua Alahhu Ahad (112:1) ten times, Allah will build a palace for him in Paradise.”

“Whoever reads – (Surah al-Kafiroon) Qul Ya ayyuha Al kafirron – then it counts as a quarter of the Holy Quran and whoever reads – (Surah Al Ikhlas) Qul Hua Alahhu Ahad – it counts as a third of the Quran for him.”

“Whoever reads a hundred verses in one night, it will be written as if he stood to pray the entire night.”

“Whoever reads Surah Kahf on Jumu’ah (Friday), a light will be shone for him between the two Jumma’h”

2- Highest Ranks and Reward for Parents

Parents have the right to be amazed and amazed by this great bounty that they received from where they do not expect, when these two parents get the highest ranks and rewards that are more precious and more valuable than the world and what is in it, they ask in astonishment: Where do we get such and we do not have – as far as we know – What kind of work and obedience qualifies us to win this great dignity? They answer: By teaching your son the Qur’an, being patient with it, and sincerely advising him. Thus, the owner of the Qur’an is one of the most dutiful of people towards his parents.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said,

“Whoever recites the Quran and learns it and then acts upon it is adorned with a crown of light on the Day of Judgement, its radiance is like the radiance of the sun. His parents are adorned with two jewels that the world could never contain, so they say ‘Why have we been adorned as such?’ It will be said, ‘For what your child has acquired of Quran.”

Quran memorization is the best gift parents can give to their children. It is the best present children can give to their parents. The parents of Hafiz will be given a special honor on the day of judgment. Quran memorization honors the parents. A Quran hafiz child is a Sadaqah Jariyah (Permanent Charity) for his parents. He is a source of Shafaa’h (Intercession) for his family.

3- Reciting Quran is the key to Jannah

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad has made our goal of Jannah easy, by showing us the right way.

“Whoever reads Ayat Kursi at the end of each mandatory prayer, nothing prevents him from entering Paradise except death.”

“Whoever reads – “Say: Allah is One” (surah Al Ikhlas) – 3 times, will have the reward of reciting the whole Quran.”

4- Healing and mercy to the Believers

There is no physical, mental or spiritual illness or discomfort that the Qur’an cannot cure. Quran recitation can provide you with a remedy from known and unknown annoyances. Illuminates the heart with faith and strengthens our faith. Therefore, it is imperative to read and recite the Qur’an for the sake of God’s mercy and healing.

“And We send down from the Qur’an that which is healing and mercy for the believers, and it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss.”

It was narrated from A’isha RAA that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) if he ever fells ill, he would read “Mu’awwazat” (Surah Al Falaq and An Nas) and blow over himself. When his illness worsened, I would recite over him and wipe him with my hands in the hope of receiving his blessings.”

5- The best company in Jannah

And the authentic hadiths narrate that on the Day of Resurrection, people will be with those they love. And on that last day, we will all desire the proper accompany that will receive the mercy of God Almighty. Therefore, if we love the Qur’an, we will be in the accompany of the righteous and the people of the Quran.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “A person will be summoned with the one whom he loves”.

6- Reading Quran has great rewards

Allah is so great and merciful that He has given thousands of opportunities for His creation to repent and earn countless rewards. But, unfortunately, we are preoccupied with earning the reward of this world and not the Hereafter.

Reading the Quran gives infinite reward. Allah commanded his servants to read the Quran and follow its instructions in the best way possible. Reading the Quran is the simplest way to earn and multiply rewards.

The Prophet (PBUH) said:

“Whoever recites a letter of the book of Allah (Quran) will be credited with a good-deed “Hasanah” and a good-deed is multiplied into ten Hasanat. I do not say that the word: Alif Laam Meem is counted as a word letter. Rather, Alif is a letter, Laam is a letter and Meem is a letter.”

7- Intercession on the Day of Judgment

Reading and reciting the Qur’an comes as a relief to us when we need it most. He serves as our intercessor on the Day of Judgment when even our parents will not recognize us.

The Prophet (PBUH) said:

“Recite the Quran, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters “qari” on the Day of Judgment.”

8- Reading Quran is the source of tranquility

Reciting the Qur’an relaxes the heart and soul. Can your body survive without food? No, right?

Likewise, your heart and soul cannot survive without the Qur’an. The Quran is food, water and medicine for your soul. It is the answers to every question you have, gives you hope, builds connection with God, and heals our souls.

The Qur’an is the example of tranquility for the entire creation of the earth. Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him said:

“No people gather together reciting the Book of Allah and studying it, except that tranquility descends upon them, and mercy envelops them, and the noble angels surround them, and Allah SWT mentions them in the Heavens.”

9- Reading Quran is the best protection

Indeed, the Quranic verses are powerful and yield high protection to the reciter. Every word of the Quran is filled with rewards.

The Prophet (PBUH) said,

“Whoever recites the last two verses of Surat Al-Baqarah every night, that is sufficient.”

“Whoever memorizes the first ten verses of Surat Al-Kahf will be protected from the Dajjal.”

”If the Qur’an is collected in a vessel (heart), God will not punish it with the fire of Hell.”

“Recite Surah Al-Mulk to protect yourselves from the torment of the grave”.

10- Following footsteps of Prophet Muhammad

The Qur’an was revealed to our beloved Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, referred to its etiquette and its importance to humanity.

God Almighty said,

“Indeed, God’s Messenger is a good example for anyone who hopes to (meet) God and the Last Day and remembers God often.”

11- Reciting Quran protects from senile old age

It is clear that if we invest our youth in the remembrance of God, it is the best investment we can ever make. Its benefits in this world, as in the hereafter, are innumerable. It is really important to take advantage of youth before old age – as the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said.

“Whoever reads the Quran is not returned to senile old age and that is the meaning of Allah’s Statement, “Then We reduced him to the lowest of the low, except those who believe…” – he said ‘those that recite the Quran.”

12- Getting rid of depression and anxiety

The increasing prevalence of anxiety and depression is blowing up the world. But the Qur’an soothes the aching heart and tells us that our Lord is closer to us than the jugular vein. God is aware of our problems, difficulties, and shortcomings. He never leaves us deserted. Reading and reciting the Qur’an preserves the power of Tawakkul.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said,

“Whoever’s anxiety increases, let him say: ‘O Allah make the Quran the life of my Heart and the light of my Soul, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety.”

13- Reading Quran boosts up Imaan

The Quran contains the words of God, and whoever wants to talk to God looks at the Quran as a vessel for speech. Reciting the Qur’an brings us closer to God Almighty and helps us reach a higher level of faith and understanding.

“The believers are the only ones who, when God is mentioned, fear in their hearts, and when their verses are recited to them they increase their faith, and they put their trust in their Lord (Alone).”

14- Quran is the ultimate light

God Almighty revealed the Qur’an to be a beacon of light that does not go out. It is a perfect methodology and way of life in all respects. It has a force that cannot be equaled or repelled. It is the foundation of faith and the source of knowledge. God willing, the Qur’an will be what quenches the thirst for knowledge. It is the joy of the wise. The Qur’an is the greatest cure for all diseases. It is God’s unbreakable rope. It is the wise reminder and the true straight path.

Narrated from Jundub that he said,

“I advise you with the piety of Allah and I advise you with the Quran for truly it is a light by the dark night and guidance by the day – act upon it in difficulty and in poverty.”

15- Reciting Quran brings closer to Allah

Whenever you want to talk to God, seek help in prayer and whenever you want to hear God, read the Quran. God created you and no one can love you more than him. Whoever reads the Qur’an knows that he is merciful and even forgives the sins of his servants with one tear of repentance.

The books of this world may help you in many ways but none of them can benefit you as much as the Quran. Read the Qur’an because it brings you closer to God. It is the link between God and his servants.
